A word from our MFFF Committee Chairman...
It has been absolutely wonderful to have the 13th MFFF in 2022, sorry it’s the 12th because we had to cancel 2020 because of the pandemic. It was absolutely fantastic to have the festival weekend this August and again it was wonderful to meet up and talk to all those people we haven’t seen since 2021.
The Committee, who do a stirling job, and I would like to thank all the people who made this years event possible.
Tom and Jess who run Moira Furnace and all their volunteers who continue to make the site a beautiful place to be, it gets better every year.
The set up crew who spent Wednesday and Thursday putting everything in place and Monday clearing it all away.
Ron and Sally who took over the running of the stewards from Gerald. They and the stewards made sure that everything ran smoothly. The Jacksons, who not only ran the Ceilidh and the Skiffle, but organised the camping site as well.
The Scouts who ran the car parks over the weekend, and The Railway Pub and The Rawden Arms for providing venues for the sing–a–rounds and Dave Taylor for organising them.
Mel and Wendy for organising the workshops and all those who ran them and other events over the weekend.
The dance teams who performed wonderfully on Saturday and Sunday, it was great to see them back we really missed them in 2021.
Lastly we thank the artists who performed for us all it was a wonderful line up and much appreciated by everyone, looking forward to next years mix.
We pride ourselves on this being a friendly festival and 2022... I think has been one of the friendliest yet! The weather was really kind to us everyone I spoke to had smiles on their faces and the late night singing in the bar was awesome.
So roll on 2023 and let’s try to make it even better than this year, difficult I know but we’ll give it a good try.
Stay Safe
